Buyer Buyers’ Perspective
A Buyer's Perspective on All Things Worn

Hi everyone, I’m August. I’m a buyer. I like to write. There are several topics about which I’d like to write blogs for this site in the weeks to come, but before I get to them, I felt compelled to take a moment to recognize just how amazing the ATW community is, and what an important role it plays in fostering the safe exploration of kinks for buyers. Mostly, I want to take a moment to say “thank you” to all of you who help make this site so incredible.

A Safe Space for Kinks and Fetishes

When it comes to kinks, particularly kinks that polite society considers “taboo”, such as panty sniffing, chastity, CBT, or cuckold inclinations, it is very easy to feel shame. It is very easy to feel that one is in some way abnormal, strange, or inferior. It can be very difficult to find safe and positive outlets for these kinks, and it can be very difficult to find safe harbor to discuss these desires, and to feel safe and supported enough to be willing to discuss one’s sexual proclivities. This is where ATW comes in.

I joined this website 1 year ago. I have had a panty fetish my whole life, and all I knew upon joining this site was that I wanted to try buying a pair of panties or two. I had no notions of any further activity beyond that, nor did I have any idea what a fantastic, diverse, and supportive community I had stumbled into.

It became evident pretty immediately that ATW was a special place. The first thing that struck me was the diversity of buyers and sellers, and the sheer variety of kinks catered to. Worn clothing items, sissy packages, wheel spins, chastity keyholders, dick ratings, cuck packages, custom videos. In short, if you have a kink and some courage, you can get yourself into all sorts of good trouble on ATW.

The second thing that struck me – and which has stuck with me ever since – is how positive and supportive this community is. The sellers support each other, hype each other up, generally behave respectfully toward one another and toward buyers, and create a space wherein buyers feel safe and supported enough to open up and to explore their deepest kinks and most repressed sexual desires. This is no small feat. Many other kink marketplace websites and internet spaces are toxic, impersonal, non-supportive, and, in short, generally unpleasant places. It is a credit to both the excellent members and the excellent website moderation that ATW is such a great place to be.

Freedom to Express and Explore

Since joining this site, I have been able to acknowledge, examine, and give voice to many kinks that I spent my whole life denying and repressing. Rather than keeping these kinks in the closet and wallowing in shame, I have been able to look them in the eye, to express them, and to create relationships with sellers who helped me explore them in a safe, fun, and exciting way. Not only was I finally able to explore the kinks I already knew I had, but the safe and supportive atmosphere at ATW also allowed and encouraged me to discover new kinks that I never knew I had! I came to this site simply to buy panties, but I have since bought socks, intimate vials, custom videos, picture sets, and more. I discovered my submissive side, explored it, found a domme, became an owned and devoted femdom and findom sub and…who knows what’s next? Once you knock down the walls of your shame and kick open the door to sexual exploration, there’s no telling what will follow. None of this would have happened without this website.

I don’t say this lightly: ATW is a special place. It’s more than just some random kink marketplace where people gather to sell their wares. It’s a true community. A space where hard working, creative, supportive, and truly impressive individuals congregate for the common purpose of fostering and participating in safe, fun, mutually beneficial kink play and commerce. Every time I log into ATW, I am inspired by the sellers here. Their ambition, their hard work, their perseverance, their creativity, and their spirit of exploration. Every time I log into ATW, I am thankful.

A Personal Note to Sellers

Sellers: I don’t mean to pretend that it’s all daisies and happiness here. I understand and acknowledge that you regularly deal with rudeness, with time-wasting, with cheapness, with buyers ghosting on agreed-to orders, with people speaking to you with all the intellect and tenderness of a caveman. I know there are days – or weeks – where the goods aren’t selling and the inspiration isn’t flowing, and where you must wonder “why do I continue to do this?”. Well, when those moments hit, please just know this: You are deeply appreciated. The courage and vulnerability it takes to do what you’re doing, the perseverance it takes to stick with it, and the genuine service that you are providing to buyers by allowing them to safely explore their kinks and express their sexual desires…none of these things should be taken for granted. I – and, I’m sure, many other buyers – are deeply grateful to each and every one of you. I’m not exaggerating when I say you have changed my life.

Thank You

Thank you, sellers. Thank you, buyers (except for the rude, price haggling cavemen. This isn’t the flea market, and these sellers are human beings. Check yourself). Thank you, moderators. Thank you, all of ATW. I feel lighter, happier, more honest, and like a truer, more fully expressed version of myself these past few months, and I owe so much of it to this community for creating such a positive and supportive atmosphere for kink exploration. This is a truly special place. I’m so glad to be a part of it. I hope you are, too.
